Prefacing this novel video with some words of comfort, London-based alt-pop pair/comedy duo The Rhythm Method have leaked a DIY version of a new track from their forthcoming second album. Describing themselves as "the official soundtrackers to self-isolation", 'I Love My Television (Lockdown Mix)' is a hilariously relevant piece. Combining jangly strums on an acoustic guitar with airy synth strings and 80s-inspired digital beats, the topical track sits sonically between New Order's world cup hit 'World In Motion' and the Pet Shop Boys. Lyrically rejecting the outside world, the frighteningly catchy vocal hook "cos if it rains in mid July I'm better off inside, doors closed eyes wide and TV on my mind" sucks you in before announcing an outright adoration of television itself in the uplifting chorus.
